Lad's Strawman x Moonglows Surprise
2004 Gelding
Tucker currently stands 16 and has begun his under saddle training in Nashville, TN and going very well.  He will be campaigned in 2007 both ApHC and NSBA, on his way to the world show.
It is with heavy hearts that we've learned of the passing of this fine gelding....He was a wonderful partner and friend and will be desperately missed.
"The second day of the clinic he looked off...so we took off his tack, hosed his right hock...which seemed a  little warm...gave him a bute and put him back in his stall.  The next  day he was three-legged lame.  I suspected a fracture - so I had the  Vet come out with the xray machine.  He called me that night and said  it wasn't a fracture - but he thought something elase was going on.  I left on a business trip the next day...and got home at 11pm that night.  My daughter's nanny got up and let me know that Cory had been running a fever that night (the barn manager never called me).  I took  Cory to Cornell the next day and he could barely walk.  His front  hooves were burning up...and I was sure he was foundering.  The vets  at Cornell diagnosed it as a horrible infection in the hock...even though there was no sign of a wound or anything on his leg.  They tried to save him - but we ended up having to put him down.  Needless to say, Brianne and I were both devastated."
